Since Helen Keller challenged Lions Clubs International at the 1925 Convention, we have been most noted for our sight conservation service. We also support many other worthwhile community projects, and donate more than $59,000 per year to local, state, and national charitable organizations.

Process for Applying For Eye Glass 

Financial Assistance from the Lions Clubs:

All applications must go before the Mid-Day Lions Club Board of Directors who meet every other Thursday for approval in the following ways:

Adults: Must contact Culpeper Career Center (Sam’s Place) at the Culpeper Department of Human Services.  The phone number is 540 727-1055 x406 or mail to Culpeper Career Center, 219 East Davis Street,  Suite 100, Culpeper, VA 22701.  Hearing aids use the same process.  Adults must be within the income and resource guidelines approved by the Culpeper DHS and the Lions.

Children:  Must contact any of the public school nurses for referral to the Board of Directors.

Repeat applications can only be approved once every two years.
